Sasha Gorchanyuk joined the Mountaineer Athelic Club in May 2023 serving as Graduate Assistant assisting with prospect research, data analysis, day-today operations of the MAC, special events, stewardship, and premium seating operations.
Prior to MAC, Gorchanyuk attended the University of Louisville as a student-athlete on the Women’s Tennis Team for the 2021-22 and 2022-23 competitive seasons. While attending classes and competing on the court, Gorchanyuk started as a Production Assistant for the ACC Network, specializing as an instant replay and graphic operator, as well as assisting live broadcast production for all Louisville Cardinal athletic teams. Additionally, Gorchanyuk served as an Intern in both the Cardinal Athletic Fund (CAF) and Marketing department within the University of Louisville Athletic Association. In CAF, Gorchanyuk served as frontline support for all stakeholder inquiries, including donor requests, account resolution, and fund processing. She also provided support during CAF special events and in-game hospitality. In this role, Gorchanyuk oversaw the renewal of 200 season ticket member accounts, retaining over $155,000 for the 2023 Football campaign. In her Marketing duties, Gorchanyuk assisted with the execution of in-game sponsorships and promotional elements for Cardinal Athletic sporting events, assuring all sponsorship obligations and on-field promotions generated by Learfield were fulfilled.
During the Summer of 2022, Gorchanyuk was a Front Office Intern for the Louisville Bats, the Triple-A Affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. There she gained hands-on experience in Corporate Partnerships, Group and Premium Ticket Sales, and Sponsorship Promotions. Gorchanyuk brought in new partnership deals and ensured all sponsorship agreements were fulfilled. She also built PA game and run of show scripts, along with proof of performance recap presentations.
Prior to Louisville, Gorchanyuk was a student-athlete on the University of Alabama Women’s Tennis Team for the 2019-20 and 2020-21 competitive seasons. While in Tuscaloosa, Gorchanyuk was a Production Assistant for Crimson Tide Productions. There she assisted in all aspects of live broadcast production for the University of Alabama athletic sporting events.
Originally from Kharkiv, Ukraine, she immigrated to Mississauga, Canada, to pursue her tennis career. Gorchanyuk graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science in Communication with a minor in Film Studies and Production from the University of Louisville in May of 2023.
Gorchanyuk currently resides in Morgantown while pursuing her Master of Business Administration (MBA) at WVU.
