Kyle Poland joined athletics in September 2021 as WVU Varsity Club assistant. In this role he will assist in developing West Virginia University’s athletics alumni data base and assist in planning special events.
Poland recently completed a successful playing career at WVU in 2020 as the team’s long snapper. Most recently, he assisted with the external affairs efforts with Mountaineer football helping with its alumni and donor relations.
He also had two internships with athletics, one following his playing career serving under Chief Operating Officer/Deputy Director of Athletics Keli Zinn, and the other while he was a Mountaineer player working for the basketball equipment staff.
As a Mountaineer player, he was named Academic All-Big 12 First Team and was a National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society member in 2020. He was also a four-time member of the Big 12 Commissioner’s and West Virginia University honor rolls in 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2020.
Poland earned his bachelor’s degree in 2019 from WVU in sport management, and he recently completed work on a master’s degree in sport management in the spring of 2021.
Kyle, his wife Katie and their daughter Riley currently reside in Morgantown.
