WVU Natatorium Fund

One of the most crucial needs for West Virginia University Intercollegiate
Athletics is support for the renovation and construction of our athletic
facilities. Collegiate athletes today demand the finest athletic facilities
and equipment.
For recruiting purposes, it is essential that our WVU facilities exceed the expectations of prospective student-athletes and compare favorably to other schools in the BIG EAST and the nation.
As always, maintaining facilities and strategically planning for the future is an ongoing process.
Funds given to WVU’s Swimming and Diving facility will make it the best in the BIG EAST and competitive nationally. The project includes expanding the Natatorium to enclose a state-of-the-art Olympic–size pool with all the amenities, as well as a larger viewing area for observers.
“With a pool of this nature, WVU would become the premier swimming and diving program in the Big East; with the BEST competition pool in the conference. We would have the ability to serve as host for BIG EAST championships, as well as state and local meets. Having a new facility would enhance the recruiting, training and competition portions of our program,” says WVU Head Swimming and Diving Coach Vic Riggs.
The Natatorium Fund will enable WVU Intercollegiate Athletics to remain competitive and continue to gain success, and major gifts made to the Natatorium Fund will be recognized within the renovated Natatorium.
