Mountaineer Athletic Club: West Virginia University's Department of Intercollegiate Athletics
By joining the Mountaineer Athletic Club, full-time, benefits eligible WVU faculty and staff members will receive donor benefits not available to the general public, including:
 
· $50 donation to start a membership ($100 minimum for non-faculty/staff)
 
· Soft credit equal to 100% of your donation
 
· 20% off season tickets ·
 
100% soft credit on per-seat donations for football season tickets
 
· Ten (10) points for faculty and staff status

Soft Credit
Soft credit is a way for the Mountaineer Athletic Club to recognize WVU’s world-class faculty and staff members. A soft credit is applied to the account that is equal to 100% of your annual fund gift. This benefit allows faculty and staff members to start a MAC membership for as little as $50. Faculty and staff members will receive priority points based on the actual contribution and do not receive priority points for soft credits. Only gifts made by faculty and staff members are eligible for the 100% soft credit match.

Football Per-Seat Minimums:
Faculty and staff members receive 100% soft credit of their annual gift to the Mountaineer Athletic Club. The soft credit also applies to minimum per-seat contributions toward priority football seating. For more information about per-seat minimum contributions.
 
Season Tickets:
Faculty and staff members receive a 20% discount on up to 6 season tickets for each sport. Football season tickets for the 2017 season are $365 for the public, faculty and staff members are able to purchase tickets for the 2017 football season for $292. There is also a 20% discount on Men’s
Basketball public season tickets for the 2017-2018 season for all regularly priced season tickets, some location limits exist.
 
Payroll Deduction:
Faculty and staff members are able to enroll in a payroll deduction plan. Participants must be enrolled by April 28, 2017. Deductions will begin on June 1 and will be deducted from five consecutive payments. Please contact the Mountaineer Athletic Club office at (304) 293-2294 for more information. *WVNET and Ruby Hospital do not participate in payroll deduction.
 
Priority Points:
Faculty and staff members will receive priority points based on the actual contribution and do not receive priority points for soft credits. All faculty and staff members will receive ten (10) points for faculty and staff status, two (2) points per $100 of giving during the current year, five (5) points per consecutive years of giving, one (1) point for lifetime giving to athletics, and five (5) points per year of consecutive season ticket purchases.
